Our sewage cleanup process
Are you looking for sewage cleanup services? A floor drain backed up, the toilet overflowed with more than water, or the sewer line pushed waste into the basement. Contaminated water needs different handling from a clean leak, and we begin with a free, no-commitment inspection of your home or commercial building.
Step 1. Call and we dispatch
Stop using the water and call. A person answers 24/7, tells you to keep people and pets out of the affected rooms, and sends a crew. Sewage is a health hazard, so our emergency response aims to be at your door within the hour.
Step 2. We find where the water went
Sewage travels farther than the mess suggests. Using a thermal imaging camera and moisture meters, we find how far it soaked into flooring, drywall and wall cavities, and we record every room in DocuSketch. That map decides what can be cleaned and which materials have to be removed.
Step 3. We dry it and handle the paperwork
We extract the waste water, remove porous materials it touched, and disinfect what stays. Drying equipment and dehumidifiers run until readings meet the IICRC standard. The job is written up in Xactimate. You pay your deductible, we bill insurance for the rest, and the space is ready for the rebuild.

Can we stay in the house during sewage cleanup?
Stay out of the affected rooms, and keep children and pets away from them. Whether you can remain in the rest of the house depends on how far the contamination reached and whether you still have a working bathroom. We tell you plainly after the free inspection. If anyone in the home has a weak immune system or breathing problems, let us know.
Does insurance cover a sewage backup?
Sometimes. Many homeowners policies exclude sewer and drain backup unless you added that cover, and the limit on it can be modest. We look at where the backup started and help you read what your policy says, then you decide whether to claim. Nothing is reported to your insurer by having us inspect.
What has to be thrown away after a sewage backup?
Porous materials that absorbed the waste water: carpet and pad, soaked drywall, insulation, and often baseboards and particleboard cabinets. Framing lumber, and hard surfaces such as concrete and tile, can usually be cleaned, disinfected and dried instead. We list what is coming out and why before we remove anything, and we photograph it for your records.
How much does sewage cleanup cost?
It depends on how many rooms the sewage reached and how much material has to come out. The inspection is free, and the written estimate that follows is priced in Xactimate, which insurers use themselves. That keeps the price identical whether a carrier pays or you do. For losses that are not covered, ask about 0% financing options.
Will the smell go away?
Usually, once the source is gone. The odor comes from contaminated material and damp, so removing what absorbed the sewage, disinfecting the rest and drying the structure fully is what deals with it. Covering the smell does not work. We keep drying until the readings are normal, because any moisture left behind can bring odor and mold growth back. If a smell lingers after that, tell us and we come back to find what is still holding it.
