How our water damage repair works
Are you looking for water damage repair services? A ceiling sagged, the hardwood cupped, or the wall behind the washer is soft to the touch. We dry what can be saved, remove what cannot and get the structure ready to rebuild, and the inspection that decides which is free with no commitment.
1Call and we dispatch
Phone us at any hour and you get a person, not a menu. We help you stop the water, tell you what to keep away from, and put a crew on the road. An hour is the usual wait, and nothing about the visit costs money.
2We find where the water went
Wet drywall is obvious. The water you cannot see matters more, so we trace it with thermal imaging and moisture meters through walls, subfloors and cabinets. Every room is recorded in DocuSketch, and you get a written scope: what we can dry in place and what has to go.
3We dry it and handle the paperwork
We take out what cannot be saved: soaked drywall, insulation or flooring. Dehumidifiers and drying equipment then dry the framing to the IICRC standard. The job is priced in Xactimate, you pay the deductible, we bill insurance, and the rooms are left ready for reconstruction.

We had a quick scare with a leak from our water softener and called Apex Restoration in Garden City. They were incredibly responsive and had someone at our home within about 30 minutes of calling. Thankfully, it ended up being a fairly minor issue and nothing major needed to be done. What really impressed us was that they didn’t charge us anything for coming out and taking a look. What does water damage repair cost?
The price follows the scope: how many rooms, which materials are wet, how much has to come out. We measure all of that during a free inspection and hand you a written estimate built in Xactimate, the pricing software insurers use. Covered repairs are billed to your insurance and you pay the deductible. For repairs that are not covered, we have 0% financing options.
Can wet drywall and hardwood be saved, or does it all come out?
It depends on how long it stayed wet and what the water carried. Drywall that was wet briefly with clean water can often be dried in place, and so can many hardwood floors if we start early. Material that has swollen, crumbled or sat in dirty water comes out. We show you the moisture readings behind every keep-or-remove decision before anything is taken out.
Do you rebuild the rooms after the repair work?
We do the mitigation: finding the water, removing ruined material, drying the structure and documenting it for insurance. The rebuild itself, new drywall, flooring and paint, is carried out by a reconstruction partner, and we leave the space dry, clean and ready for them. Your project manager coordinates the handover so you are not starting over with a stranger.
Does getting an estimate mean my insurance company is notified?
No. An estimate is between you and us. We do not contact your insurer unless you ask us to, and nothing is filed by our visit. If you decide to claim, we make the first call with you and supply the documentation. If you decide the repair is smaller than your deductible, you can simply pay for it directly.
How long will the repair take?
Removal of ruined material is usually done in the first day or two. Drying the structure behind it takes three to five days on most jobs, with a technician checking readings every day. After that the space is ready for reconstruction. Your project manager gives you dates at the start and updates them as the readings come in.
